With spring comes new beginnings, and since I recently started a new job, I’ve had trouble discovering my work style. I am an ‘all black everyday’ kind of person, but it’s spring – almost summer – so I want some more colour in my life. Specifically the ever-growing trend – blush pink.

Sometimes trends aren’t just a fad. Sometimes they’re your chance to broaden your style and try new things. The blush pink trend I’m talking about started off as just a Pantone colour of the year, but found its way into every high street store’s spring line… and then some! These ‘colour of the year’ selections are something that I’ll be looking out for every year now! I think it’s important to try something outside of your norm to really understand your personal style.Gypsy Dreams: Spring Dreaming in Blush Pink

Speaking of understanding your style, I recently started a capsule wardrobe! In reality the decision of what to wear at 7am on a Monday causes way more anxiety and stress than I can handle. In a way I am just trying to limit my choice, in the hope that my whole morning routine will be more manageable. It may sound boring but choosing my 3 accent colours was one of the most fun parts of the whole process. In the end I went with: lilac, mint and (you guessed it) blush pink! Have you done a capsule wardrobe? What did you think of it? Are there any trends that you just help but try out? Let me know in the comments!
